I've been on the libertarian/ancap spectrum my entire adult life. In 2022 I helped take over my county Republican party with a group of MAGA boomers. My goal was to gain credibility and then advance freedom at the very local level. I sacrificed countless hours building up the local party. I was the tech guy, the campaign finance guy, the Roberts rules guy, the data guy, I wrote the bylaws. The fellow members thought that I was brilliant. They said they respected me. Then I came with data and demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that all of our efforts should be put towards advancing liberty at the local level. They quibbled, they quarreled, they couldn't understand why on earth I would suggest such a thing. We need to raise money for Mike Rogers they said. They threw me a bone and offered to pass a resolution that affirmed that local politics was "important". Boomers are destroying this country and they're too stupid to know it.

Spring has sprung. I'm enjoying it before the mosquito apocalypse drives me back indoors for the next 6 weeks.

I picked up my 5yo son from a church program this evening. He confidently told me that he does not like the game Simon Says. He doesn't like having to copy the teacher because "it's weird". I am incredibly proud.

Both of my vehicles are having mechanical issues. On the bright side I'm working from home for the next two days and get to see my beautiful wife and wonderful children all day.

One of the greatest gifts my parents gave me was sparing me from the government school system. It's something that I'm proud to pay forward to my children. I'm incredibly blessed to have a wife that is fully on board with that.

It's been on my to do list to for years now to set up an Airtable with automations to generate customizable proposals, contracts and various other onboarding forms. With Claude's help, I've finally been able to accomplish this. Previously, onboarding a client would take up a whole day, now it will under 30 minutes. Less than $50 per month in subscriptions is now freeing up countless previously non-productive hours.
