I made a few changes to my relays and Amethyst seems to be running pretty good. 🔹Make sure you have 3 relays in each for your in and outbox. Pick relays you trust, and will accept your notes, and notes for you. 🔹There are a few relay sets (DM inbox, Indexer & Search) that have default settings, I used these, resetting them to default. 🔹I added to my trusted relays my in and outbox, plus a few others. image My list for example. Set yours up appropriately. ⚠️ These relays will see your IP address. 🔹Add wss://sendit.nosflare.com to your broadcast relays. This will send your notes to multiple relays. image 🔹Under the privacy settings I have it set to default, which will make any non trusted relays use Tor. Adjust this to your level of paranoia. If off things will be faster. image #amethyst

Personally, I'd recommend against the idea of trusted relays unless you or a friend self-host. I'd also recommend against that minimal of a Tor setup, at least until we know the full implications of this new approach. Mad respect for Vitor & Amethyst but he should've discussed this in advance, and ultimately, should have given us the choice whether we wanted to use this updated relay scheme.
Fair enough, the main benefit of Tor is to protect your IP from relays so the VPN helps!
I'm not sure, I don't use the wine filter relay. I do use the main relay, which doesn't expire once you have payed initially. Try without it for a while and see if there is a difference.
Try out nostr.land. Significantly more features, and some things are coming for Primal users to improve performance specifically
Amethyst is definitely an app for power users. It gives a lot more options to tune the experience, but requires more knowledge.
Devs should arrange to make releases on the same day so other apps users don't get salty 😆
