I joined Nostr after hearing him do an interview on a podcast about decentralized internet and social media alternatives. I liked the technicals of nostr and downloaded a client and followed jb55
Later ZBD did a roast contest to zap the nostr user who could roast them the best, but they ended up zapping someone who wrote them a positive uplifting note instead. jb55 made his own roast contest so I said "You know how everyone says they can't tell Damus is your first iOS app? They're lying." that comment won his roast contest and he zapped me 200k sats for it, so I'm thinking this guy must have a great sense of humor...
later I'm reading a thread where he said he created Damus for OnyxVixen cause she kept getting kicked off legacy social media for posting racy pics, and I thought it was funny so I made a meme about how he created damas just so he could continue to see his friend naked. he muted me.

Shitcoins are related to hurting bitcoin. Bitcoin is the primary selling point of nostr. It doesn't make sense to attack devs for "ruining" nostr while spending time with a shitcoiner that literally fucks up bitcoin adoption.
Bitcoin is not the primary selling point of Nostr. It's rarely (if ever) listed as one of the benefits of the Protocol. Many people have joined Nostr for other reasons, myself included.
Fucking up Bitcoin adoption (which in itself is a stretch of logic), has virtually nothing to do with Nostr adoption.

The vast majority of people on nostr, as of today, are bitcoiners and the reason they joined was because of bitcoin. That could change at some point but as of right now that is the main reason people are here. The whole decentralization argument is nice but we haven't even arrived there yet. Most notes are found on a small number of relays. We haven't seen how resilient nostr can be if those big relays were taken down.
It is not a stretch to say that shitcoins have harmed bitcoin adoption. I literally lost money and so did others falling for shitcoin scams. There is a lot of confusion for new people coming in to the space. Fortunately, I only lost a small amount. I personally know several people who dropped everything to do with bitcoin because of the shitcoin scams. The reason so many argue bitcoin not crypto is to differentiate between the two. And a big reason you'd want to differentiate is because of potential harm it causes.
And I'm not sure what nostr adoption has to do with this. I am simply showing that the guy is a hypocrite. His morals are flexible. Very strict and paranoid about centralization risk but totally fine with a shitcoiner promoting eth defi wrapped btc swaps or whatever garbage it is.
The guy is just a total prick. Attacks other devs for building things, calling it AI slop. He's just a scumbag with no self awareness.

Just because a lot of Bitcoiners have joined Nostr does not mean that is the main selling point. One could (and several do) also argue that Bitcoiners are ruining Nostr.
Also, just because Nostr has a large population of Bitcoiners does not necessarily mean that zaps/Bitcoin are why they chose Nostr. To find that out would require a poll with a significant percentage of responders.
Also, even if we accept the idea that Nostr isn't very decentralized now, due to a small amount of relays, that doesn't mean that people didn't join Nostr for the reason of decentralization. Many have, and regularly state that as the reason they are here.
You were relating "dating a shitcoiner" as the equvalent to "ruining Nostr", but you were not referring to Nostr adoption? Does that mean you're inferring that existing npubs are going to quit the protocol based on who Will dates?
If you dislike Will so much, what value is there in focusing on him? What good does that bring? Or are into some "lack of value for lack of value" shitcoin paradigm?
