The Charlie Kirk assassination was done by a professional. The video image being seared into everyone’s brain is what John Robb calls an “empathy trigger”, not dissimilar to the response to George Floyd. The who and why are likely deeper and darker than our pay grade allows. It sure seems that this moment in time will cascade and compound along a bumpy road ahead.

Yes and like George Floyd there is plenty of evidence of engineered hoax everywhere you look
Yes, this seems to be the beginning of an ominous time.
Especially with the left’s reaction.
I don’t want to watch the video, I hear it’s quite graphic.
It was done by thousands of professionals
It has Maidan vibes to it a bit. Or at least a prelude.
Exactly my thought, this truly is the turningpoint
I keep thinking about that too. His brand/org was named Turning Point 🤔 not woo woo, but coincidence or coordination? Such a fine line between it all
There is a lot more
Wrong. Not a hard shot for someone experienced with their rifle and the proper tools. Not a moving target, sitting alone in a tent, from an elevated position. Very little bullet drop.
People can hole in one a 200 yard golf shot.
Maybe. Maybe just someone with a point to prove.
It wasn’t a difficult shot, just a tragic day for the Kirk family. Sad to know those kids lost a father who truly loved them.
Why a professional? 200 yards is not a far shot by any means.
Nothing. A zero at 25 yards will hit just about right at 25, 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards. Hell, if he knew the spot, a zero at 200 would need no adjustments. The bullet drop on a 223, 270, 6.5 creed or anything else is nothing.
An acss red dot makes 200 a drop shot a 2.5 or 3x acss or bdc reticle an instant hit.
George Floyd was murdered by cops for being black In the USA Kirk was killed because he was a professional racist troll they are not the same, racists get no empathy
Nothing. Rifles typically sighted at 100yards, sometimes even 200. drop over that distance is maybe 10mm if it’s sighted short… It’s not a far shot.
Finally someone who realizes this is not a difficult shot to make.
Oh, and by 10mm, I meant 1mm.
I shot a coyote at 550 on the move, many deer at 150-300, and likely next month a cow elk from 400-700. Standing, seated, maybe prone off backpack. With a bipod? Easy.
It's not hard to hit 250. My son hits 400 all the time with a 4x acog.
People are clueless...
Its awful.
Thats a disgusting take
George Floyd died because of a drug addiction and theft attempt.
Name one quote where Kirk was racist?
MLK was awful,” Kirk said. “He's not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn't believe.” “I have a very, very radical view on this, but I can defend it, and I’ve thought about it,” Kirk said at America Fest. “We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.” -Kirk
Let me know when you find the racism.
The civil rights act is likely the single worst piece of unconstitutional federal legislation ever passed.
What else you got? Anything?
First two apprehended suspects where decoys, one with a pellet rifle

Laser
Shooter seen fleeing roof just after kill. Old man on the ground was a decoy. [nostr note by Laser]
There's no racism in that.
Fat old men as pellet rifle decoys and someone placed somewhere everyone could see, to make the shot easy?
Sounds organized by amateurs.
Yeah, don't need a professional sniper, to shoot someone with a rifle, on a clear day, when they are sitting in a chair on a platform with unobstructed line of sight.
A real sniper can make 600 yards, without even breaking a sweat. The record is from 2.36 miles away.
200 yards is BELOW the lowest range Israeli defence snipers train on. Anyone with a decent rifle and some target practice could have made that shot.
> At the range the snipers shot targets from 300, 400, 500, 600, and 800 meters in both the prone and standing positions. The U.S. snipers sent rounds downrange using the M110-SASS and the Israeli snipers used the SR25-CARBINE.

I disable autoplay on all clients. It's enough to build up a picture from words that my fellow plebs are using, and to see the odd photo.
You're right about empathy triggers, and I don't need to waste mine on things that didn't happen right in front of me. I've seen tragedy up close and it's enough to be dealing with my portion over my lifetime.
I understand the scale and implication of the event, and the background and complexity surrounding it. I have sympathy for the family and respect for the lifework of the deceased. I share the universal call for justice and understand the deepening rift in society between those who want to build civilization and those who find pleasure destroying it.
But I don't need to become a voyeur of other people's suffering just because the black mirror in my hand wasn't restrained enough to interrupt my day and serve it cold to my face. Shortly followed by a meme or two, cementing the banality of it all to my already overloaded brain.
I hit this point during the pandemic nonsense, and again during peak eurowar, and most recently with peak ziowar.
Empathy, like attention, needs to be guarded as a precious resource, something to be denied to the machine.
Sometimes, less is more.
I feel ya brother. Well said 🤙
