Likely not. I just think it’s not guaranteed torment or abuse all the way on the other end of the spectrum. There’s nuance between enjoyment ↔️ abuse. Maybe they’re trained/domesticated from birth and cannot survive in the wild and a brief ride from a child is the worst thing they experience while being fed and cared for 🤷🏻 Maybe that’s too generous/optimistic for the keepers. Hard to confirm from this short clip.

I have a thought experiment if you’ll entertain it. No worries if not: why are horses meant to be ridden? What if the horse panics and runs 64 separate times before making peace with the rider? Is forced subjection to those 64 attempts abuse? Are elephants meant to be ridden?
