Every time i make a bitcoin transaction with a COLDCARD Q using qr in and nfc out, i'm reminded how easy it is to use bitcoin in self custody.

I am not an expert. But the ability to transfer the seedphrase via qr code must be physically possible. And I think its seperated in the coldcard. At least thats how I hope it is built.

the option to use qr instead of micro sd is so good. never been easier
honestly, I wish I could just scanned the address that I’m trying to send the sats to on chain using my cc Q, and then simply tap a signed transaction instead of scanning a PBST from my phone to tap hat signed transaction.
what would be easier as using my QR code scanner to scan the actual address that I will be sending the funds to on-chain instead of me using my QR code scanner to verify a PBST. how come I can’t produce the PBST on my cold card Q? cc @Coinkite
That would require the COLDCARD to have a block data and/or have access to electrum servers. Would be cool, but its tricky and left to the wallet software.
I can never get myself to stop using the flash card😂
besides verifying what's the current fee rate via block data and whether or not my change address has been used already. I can easily select 1 or 2 sats per vByte manually and have a way to tag used addresses as used.
Feedback: using the address explorer kinda becomes pointless(opinion). I don't know which address has been used and which one hasn't, an additional excuse for tagging addresses as used.
p.s. obviously the address explorer is still very useful as is and I'm thankful.

You probably figured it out by now.
Though, I did at least read the part in the guide where it said that the TRNG required the most trust and acted accordingly, so my boat avoided the rocks this time.

And yea fwiw the dice being so easy to do was one of my reasons for going with Coldcard so same here.
Product design was good...hubris and management sloppy as fuck.
Still better than the other hot garbage in the signer space. Guess it's time for Krux or seedsigner.
