Is Bluesky going to ingest all of my Nostr events along with their own protocol, or is this a competition? How’s this going to play out, #[0] ?

Sikto please get ready it’s time to go to blue sky’s house. But mom, I don’t want to go. Nostr’s house is so much fun! Sikto, there are lots of people over on blue sky who are excited to play with you. But mom I already used all of my best posts, gifs, and memes to make new friends at nostr’s. I don’t want to go, and Isn’t blue sky the name of the place where grandma and grandpa are buried?

Bridges could be built. Bluesky is focused atm on purely social media. nostr is a lot broader than that in my view. So I think they will be competitive and ideas will be copied between both. Most important thing is we have multiple experiments and ideas all towards same goal, which is taking the balance of power out of centralized corps.
How would a bridge work or would nostr be the bridge? Feels like nostr is the bridge, to me, for so many disparate things to be connected

When will Bluesky be accessible for users who haven’t got an invitation for the beta?
Friendly competition ftw. If Nostr is a great fit as a social platform for me, what might be a compelling reason for me to use Bluesky too?
I love competition. Especially when it’s at the protocol layer. But I think they could be complimentary for client providers that are also aggressively competing because they could publish and read to/from both protocols and make the experience somewhat seamless to the user.

Jack even though i think you messed up terribly with twitter, this eco system if its kept fully decentralized and fully uncensored will actually have a good chance at bringing twitter down in the long term .. Its alot of fun on here when you can just speak your mind without worries of getting banned. This feels very twitter 2.0 ( but iris is the best one) 😋

Is Zion also a competitor? Could you suggest some resources to better understand the concept of this emerging ecosystem and also some resources (e.g. coding tutorial) for someone who would like to develop and contribute in this space (from 0)? I can code for math, physics and engineering problems and I would like to slowly transition to this type of software development and contribute
Jack was in a no win situation with Twitter. Once the too big too fail banks own all the voting rights and have the seats on the board it’s very hard to implement change…or stop change for that matter…. Jack is a tremendous asset for spreading freedom and equally and someone we need to keep fighting the good fight. Most people that have amassed his net worth and stature can’t empathize with the plight of the normal person. Look at all the other people in big tech & big banking, it’s pathetic. The Eric Schmidt’s, Larry Summers, Bill Gates, Jamie Dimon etc. of the world are the one’s wrecking havoc while performing fellatio on themselves and their egos.

Without doubt jack is living up to values that can help to make this world a better place. At least in my opinion.
of course they are. do you know how they made their money? do you know how the fiat economy works? look at the reality what most of them do with their money. prove me wrong
So you assume things about a person because their personal wealth is orders of magnitude more than your own. If that's a good general rule, then anyone in a second or third world country should assume any person in the West is awful and has no morals. This is the occupy movement mentality, which was deeply flawed IMO. It's not rich vs poor, it's those seeking to coerce vs those seeking to liberate.
I don't fault Presin for not responding to you. Opinions like this are often times more of a reflection of yourself than reality. Being a billionaire doesn't inherently make someone evil. To start from the base assumption that a human is evil of they have wealth speaks more to the relationship that person has with money than it does the person being criticized. Hope you can see the world just a little bit more positivity and succeed in whatever personal struggles you are going through 🫂
with regards to this guy, according to this actions in the last 10 years: he was 'tweeting' for many years, had subpoenas in front of congress, spoke about twitter and other things, there is enough material in order to judge him in a fair way. i do not buy that he suddenly endorses free speech. what you write does not make any sense. you assume and accuse.

I agree but the reason twitter was in a "no win" situation was the choices Jack made in the first place. I'm a big fan of jack he's a creative smart guy, I really am I just hope similar mistakes are not made again on this platform as I see the potential here. If you start by censoring that "one guy" that you disagree with it can be a slippery slope to full blown tyranny. Or you allow "some" centralization it eventually will be full centralization... Also i hope there is some sort of plan for bots, because its clear that's also a huge issue on twitter, and potentially could be here as well. I like the platform i just hope they don't "sway" this time around..

Will BlueSky attempt to be a Bitcoin Financial rail? Integrate into the square ecosystem?
Broader? There's only one type of post on the entire network: "PLEASE GIVE ME ZAPS"
The banks can't own the voting rights if you don't sell those rights to them. Jack is ultimately responsible.
You think Jack empathizes with the normal person? I've never seen him actually talk to anyone except with some weird petty quip, total nonsense, or literal advertisemet for one of his products.
