This is not the first time I see somebody leaving because they are tired of the same old, same old content. I understand that Nostr early adopters are people who understand the restrictions of other platforms and thus are likely to mostly talk about that, specially given the excitement and the possibilities of Nostr. But how do we expand beyond that? Are we really limited in content or is discovery the issue? Twitter solved initial discovery problems with hashtags. Is that enough now? Is that working here? I am guilty of posting about free speech or Bitcoin but I also post about #running and have started playing with #vlogs (mostly for fun). Part of the answer IMHO is for people to ignore the often repeated YT advice to niche down. Nostr does not have the numbers to produce niche oriented engagement on a widespread scale. To increase the scope of content people need to be willing to create and share more than their pet focus. View quoted note →
