Why would anyone support an administration that wants to cover up pedophile rings, war mongering, sending troops on its streets against citizens , indiscriminate ICE raids (including American citizens detained for days and weeks), state capitalism forcing tariffs (tax on citizens), and shitcoin corruption? If you are in the bitcoin and crypto industry, you don’t have to simp for these policies and actions. I know you’re afraid to go against this authoritarian playbook. I know you hated the democrats and Biden admin (me too and I spoke out against it constantly) But we can all collectively choose a different path forward, that isn’t communism, that isn’t fascism, that isn’t authoritarian and preying on mentally unwell and angry people to vote for them. Stay quiet if you’d like…but it’s harder and harder to ignore what’s going on. You spoke up under Biden. How about now?

I have spoken up under every administration since bush jr until i found Bitcoin and reunited with God. Now I just focus on getting as many people on this life boat as possible and doing as much good as I can for my family, in my church, and in my community
This is human tribalism at its worst, I believe. You’ve got Trump supporters who will excuse anything he does or says because they see him dominating other people that they don’t like. And if other people are losing/suffering, that must mean they are doing well. If not materially, at least emotionally. It always feels good to be on the winning team. Everything is viewed through the narrow lens of “how does it affect me”. I was incredibly disappointed with the bitcoiners I saw stumping for Trump on their podcasts during the election. After years of being generally anti-government and politically agnostic, so many were in the bag for Trump for the promise of a “strategic bitcoin reserve”. So in the bag for Trump, that they conveniently ignored how obviously misinformed he was about bitcoin, and looked the other way as his family spun up memecoins and a shitcoin exchange. I would ask them all to think more critically about what’s actually good for bitcoin. My take has always been that the more the debauchery of the crypto industry is conflated with bitcoin, the longer it will take for mass adoption of bitcoin, as it is constantly surrounded in a veil of complete bullshit.
"Apolitical" people are a high-risk category. A lot of people seem to want to go through the world without some baseline ideological framework for politics. This is a mistake. These people will inevitably encounter world events that they will struggle to understand, they will then reach for some ideological framework to understand it, at which point (in America) they tend to become captured by either the center-left MSM paradigm, or some blend of contemporary MAGAism. The answer is, just like kids need vaccines, education at an early stage *not* to indoctrinate people into one particular worldview, but to make sure that they have the foundational tools of critical thinking, reason, and moral theory to at least *develop* a framework for politics.
