If you get unity right, scale doesn’t matter. #nostr gets unity right with each event having its own cryptographic identity. Same with npubs, you can generate as many or as few as you like, and they are all unique. When unity is solved, you can be as big or as small as you like. When unity is solved, scale doesn’t matter.

Scale for the intended use case is what I wrote there, and I think we're pretty clear how ambitious the intended use case is/was, a global decentralised Twitter. If we change the intended use case then what matters changes, sure. I for one am all for changing the use case.
