if we lived in an ethical society you wouldn't need something like a dept for bio-ethics or whatever the fuck this is. It's quite obvious that this is a misnomer, and the sole purpose for the damn thing is to puinch clever little rhetorical holes in long established ehtical norms. In short: It's the job of the bio-ethicist to get you to accept things you kNOW are wrong, like euthanasia, abortion, cloning, growing a brain in a petri dish using stem cells and then hooking it up to AI, or whatever
