Yeah, it was nuts. I could not believe it. It was not only the kids, it was the adults, too. Libraries have evolved to social drop-in centres. I don’t think anybody can read anymore.

Yeah, I agree. Libraries are the unsung digital heroes for local residents. I read all my papers in digital form, courtesy of the library. So too, with audio books. My comment was an observation, not a criticism - it was cool to see all the local people hanging out. The screaming kids I would not tolerate in a shopping mall, much less a library. What was cool is that the tables are fitted with outlets and the internet was such that I could easily do some development, push a code commit and deploy a new container.
