Not everybody, because it comes with a huge price tag in the form of opportunity cost. Will you retire at 55, or will you work until 70+ to give your kids a chance to reach the second stage? Is your time preference really that long? I'm coming to terms with the idea that I will have to work until I die, and that it is the only choice for me (due to various reasons I don't want to elaborate). I agree it is not easy to accept, because everyone would like to retire tomorrow... or even better, later today. :-)

Yes, I understand. I just think that the second speed is unachievable for 99.99% of people and so, set is as a goal is not going to give you the results you think. As you said, "I believe that I have responsibilities to the next generations", your biggest responsibility is to teach values to them and it takes time, and that time is better spent on teaching than gaining wealth. We already know how people that are born with everything behave. And if it is not the next generation, it will be the one after.
I've been thinking about your note for a while, and I'm not sure if you’re right or if this is one of those "traps for the middle class" that we need to reject in order to grow. I do agree that ignoring your children and only throwing money at them is a path to hell, but values, skill, and knowledge are much more useful with some initial capital. That’s why I'm essentially rejecting the first speed solution.
