WiFi isn’t 5G. 5G isn't the same as 5GHz That “GHz” in WiFi just means frequency bands your router works on i.e. 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz (now 6GHz aswell) It’s still RF (Radiofrequency), just a different flavor. 5G, on the other hand, means 5th generation mobile networks that works on on low, mid and millimeter waves (mmWave) WiFi is your inhouse radiation. 5G is the neighbourhood radiation. image

mm-wave 5G is only used in special circumstances like line-of-sight outdoor home accesspoints. A normal 5G tower uses the same bands as 4G.
