In bitcoin’s 2008 source code, the term
“COIN” is defined as:
static const int64 COIN = 100000000;
So we have had the unit definition set from the beginning. One COIN is equal to 100,000,000 divisible units.
It’s absolute insanity to try to rename that after 16 years.
