It's not a lie, but people don't have the power to sustain it on their own. Either their society/culture has to provide the controls or the power comes as sacrament.
The family importance is not a lie. That generation is just not made of responsible adults. You must restore sanity in the next

Divorce is everywhere, and has been for years.
When I was a kid in the 1960's-70's, no one was divorced. We heard of one woman that had an affair...but her huaband was an alcoholic. That's it.
