Out there, the system is robbing you at best and killing you at worst. And here we are arguing about whether Monero, Coinjoin, or Lightning is better and the other stuff is shit. No dude, all three are good tools and each one has its use case, it's up to you if you want to get caught up in stupid wars fighting among ourselves when we want the same thing. Get over this for fuck's sake, let everyone use whatever they want.

You should believe what your brain tells you. In this case, you can see that your Dojo server stores your xpubs and addresses and that's because it makes sense to do so. The same applies to the Samourai server because it had to manage a much higher user base and that makes caching even more important.

Samourais position was always "if you use our node you're trusting us" which seems like a reasonable tradeoff when the service you are providing is legal. But their retention policy was never clear and it seems there were some XPUBs on their node when it was seized.

Samourai was a piece of crap code, but these idiots who defend it aren't even capable of checking the code themselves. If they were capable, they'd understand what a piece of crap that “privacy” software really was.
