Here to echo this. I heard mechanic get vocal about this over a year ago,while running a node the whole time. I thought, "my node doesn't have any issues, and this new spam thing will surely get priced out by real txs" L1 TX fees were much, much higher then. Im glad this has been brought back up now In a lower fee environment, as it as bp shake n the feeling that this ordinal and inscruptions stuff has become "normal" because it is still here and not priced out. I never understood how my mempool could affect this until this recent publicity, and I have decided to start filtering it.
