You mean they cant trace who did it? Do we even need monero then?
There are financial forensic units that can do that. That's how a paedophile ring was once broken. This takes more resources though. But there are special tools that analyse a web of transactions.
It was one of the things that always baffled me with Bitcoin. That everyone will see how much many I have.
And why KYC was always a huge risk
