that's why bip-110 should be just the beginning of taking back control. new forum to discuss bitcoin, based on nostr. new UASFs to displace all arguments about maintaining taproot at all (it's there for bitvm, which is solidity EVM in a bitcoin costume). and one of the other things they have been trying to stop is fully private bitcoin transactions - not ever going to be a massive part of bitcoin's utxo set but the moneros are right that it's a missing feature. large corporate treasuries should not be advertising their existence, i think that's obvious. registered corporations *or* large informal organisations. and end the stupid witness discount. none of those things they want to happen. all of them must be done, and we should be moving towards them all systematically.

IMO, p2spkh and bulletproof cts will be easy to get miners and exchanges to accept. at least, wallets will definitely want to support CTs, which lets users bank them up in the mempool as a carrot to induce wallets to upgrade to include the CT verifier. same needs to happen with p2spkh with lightning nodes. a lightning node that can do out of band key aggregation on lightning enables schnorr based channels that are identical to normal p2spkh. that's what needs to be done. and note that is going to hit friction with bip-110. but including everything else of bip-110 and just building the thing is a prerequisite to getting that stupid political barrier to give way. economics > ideology.
