Yeah. They follow each other accounts and have similar interactions pattern
you brought more incentives for folks to create bots with your buzzbot so these are the fruits of your creation. butterfly 🦋 effect.
True 😂
How can you tell which ones are bots? Honest question.
Some of them have been here for over a year. They’ve got hundreds of followers who seem like real people. I’ve been watching their activity pretty closely, and I just can’t figure out why they would be bots. 🤔
Maybe the internet just likes cats. 😏😂🤙
Yes
Check their followers list and check the posting pattern. I think they’re harvesting your zaps ⚡️ which is cool 😎
How sure are you that they're all bots?
Yes, I do tend to zap the replies on my post. And yes, it opens an opportunity to harvest my zaps.
If I knew for sure which ones were bots, I wouldn't zap them anymore.
How do these bots collect zaps intended for others?
Yes, just check their followers list. https://primal.net/p/nprofile1qqs234qvext7kadwglrmqc3lud3jd29jdcu2nlhkmazdz9jgyenxm6cs7u9fz
Look for Jackson , Justin etc.. 🔁
21 sats x 50 accounts = 1050 sats. Not a bad day 😂
Reason: Look for Jackson, Justin, etc.. 🔁...!?
Lol 🤣
Gay🫵
Same same response. Sam guy
Gay🫵🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😘

He has some pretty good followers. Are you sure he is a bot too?

What a great feeling to get the first zap—it shows the setup is running smoothly!
I'm new to Nostr, but I'm showing up with a project that was born from our shared passion for Bitcoin. My mission is simple: to be completely transparent and humble.
I truly believe that with this clarity and your support, we have everything we need to make this idea work here.
Yes Joe too. Alic etc.. 🔁

The people he's addicted to are Nostr OGs
He's been insulting seniors
He's only recently joined Nostr 😑

nostr:nprofile1qqsx8x8ptc6pdhsf8wtregu8s0f2v65k2l9s3ja6fup9gmxa2km0rfqpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuunp09382mnf9e3k7mgtn300g thank you 😊

The main point is that bots on Nostr use a sophisticated engagement strategy. Instead of just boosting their own posts, most of them focus on boosting various messages about a specific topic that originate from real user profiles. This tactic creates a false impression of legitimacy for the content, which has the effect of attracting real followers (in addition to other bots), effectively simulating organic reach.
New day, new attempt. I made sure not to zap anyone on the list. What do you think? How many times did I miss, and how many bots did I zap?

Let me check. If you’re zapping bots, you’re basically zapping the same guy because it’s likely to be controlled by the one dude
Yes, I understand that. I just can't tell which ones are bots. That's why I really appreciate the list you wrote yesterday. 🙏
The list is a good start for now. They’ll disappear on you soon
I think users would happily pay to find out who is following them solely to harvest their zaps. I would certainly pay. Nostr would attract far more new users if there were an effective way of muting/highlighting scammers. My first impression of Nostr came from the Geyser Fund scammers, and if I hadn't found a few students so quickly, I would have abandoned it right at the beginning.
Here’s a good example. Check this account followers list, how many accounts can you see that GM 🚀 🙏 you https://primal.net/p/nprofile1qqsr5nw3wf3uslnmyd59k7c5g9v429l20ul88d6vq9vpzefsz70g29gps60zq
