If the government could pull their heads out of their asses and allow 1031-like kind exchanges between Bitcoin and real estate we may release a little pressure off the real estate market eventually.

I'm sure this is the plan. It's only logical. I'm sure they're just trying to stack low key
I think they should double the homeowners tax exemption on gains via sale. Not selling cause of taxes is a real issue. Lots of supply on the sidelines.
1031 seems effective at locking up real-estate for investors.
