The UK Government just admitted its so-called independent Digital Identity watchdog will operate in total secrecy. No published minutes, costs hidden, members chosen in the dark. They are building a national identity system for every adult in Britain but people are not allowed to see how it's coming together. Oversight you cannot observe is not oversight.

Typical UK Government opacity, shielding their ID scheme from scrutiny, just like May's Home Office and Rudd's whitewashed surveillance state expansions.
Oh great, they’re already admitting to a secret police. I thought this was something communist states did implicitly so people could live in blissful ignorance (until their door were bashed in)
