You can honestly live on a bitcoin standard in South Africa! 🇿🇦 makes it especially fun as a visitor - you hardly need to exchange cash or use a foreign credit card!

Finally. Sheeeit. I arrived in China in I think 2016, and the whole country had already transitioned to using QR codes. Merchants actually rejected cash when I tried paying in cash. Wild. But it immediately became clear that payments via QR code would become the norm everywhere, and whichever currency did it first would win **_all_** payments. Bitcoin has moved irritatingly slow. So slow, it seems like it must be being actively hindered.

I think they are integrating with the MoneyBadger guys to generate an invoice which you then pay, and then MoneyBadger pays the merchant.
