Embrace your ideals, but stay grounded. Idealism with practicality can create real change.

Bitcoin was never the dream. Free, uncensorable, fully-accountable, self-custodial money was the dream. The dream is the problem to be solved. Bitcoin is _currently_ the best solution to solve that problem. What I see too much of, in the Bitcoin space, is people choosing the solution or altering the solution, and then warping the problem to match it. And then we risk ending up with an unsolved core problem, after we thought that we had already solved it.

We need less Joos, not fewer idealist.

Almost. Bitcoin is a tool. But Bitcoin, like most things in society, is made out of people. Those who participate matter. Your ideals and dreams are your Direction, but don't make the mistake of thinking Bitcoin or Nostr are destinations or even a requirement for your ideals. There is no "Bitcoin Dream." Maybe you are thinking of a voluntaryist dream, or free markets, or a world without violence, etc, but those are not locked to Bitcoin or Nostr or any specific thing. The dream lives by the people that work to make it real.

That's the reason why I started building colabonate protocols and app as a tool on top of BTC and Nostr so collaborative commerce and cooperation becomes a decentral way of organizing my way of offering the values I can share a free human being.
