I don’t have a crystal ball. All I know is that with things like the UK’s digital ID inevitably eventually tying into CBDCs and internet usage, the need for technologies that allow us to escape that level of tyranny will only grow. Nostr and Bitcoin are perfectly situated to protect our ability to communicate and transact.

What happens when you have to submit I'd to even access your sats or nostr?
I was listening to a pod about the paypal mafia are lining X up to be the hosting app for digital ID, cbdc, payroll, taxes....the whole 9 yards....
Then will come spending limits, ringfenced purchase bans etc.

But it’s interesting, to me this isn’t a nerdy discussion at all, but something that any man would welcome
What world does he envision for his kids?
A dystopian digital cage of conditioned control, or a place of abundance and freedom
So many in “western liberal democracies” are descendants of men that physically went to war to defend “freedom” of thought, religion, and speech
Yet here we are in a digital information war and those same people don’t even realise what’s happening
A very small percentage of the world see a very bright future, built on freedom tech
But that message needs to spread wide and fast, or it might just be snuffed out by popular vote
Go where you’re treated best. Digital and physically
💪🏻
Plus they are genuine substitutes for the digital reputation and other supposed benefits of digital ID, but without the tyrannical aspects.
The UK, USA, Canada, Australia Germany France, New Zealand, and a few other countries are implemented digital id and internet censorship.
