Where I'm from, they're trying to install a (in their words) "Intelligent and centralized mass surveillance system" in train stations. They put up posters and everything, acting as if this was a positive project that should be endorsed by the public. I - quite frankly - hate it. The best thing is this: they're funding it with EU funds. The EU is paying for it.
