Shakespeare works as good if not better than Lovable, Replit, etc except it's open source and made by one guy, versus billion dollar companies with hundreds of employees. It requires no infrastructure because it works entirely on your device, so it scales infinitely for free. It does not seem like it should be possible. It's gotten basically no mainstream attention, and people are biased against it, believing it cannot be better than the crapware Big AI bubble software. But I'm here to tell you that it's not that hard.

It works entirely on your own device? How do I download it? I've only used the online version.
I spent $5 on Shakespeare (trying to make a basic nostr client just to see how well it worked)
It made a .jpg with a list of "features"
Literally just ignored my commands and decided on its own list of features, then instead of actually making a nostr client it just made a picture with some text.
Every AI coding tool I've spent money on has been an extreme disappointment.
try Cursor, it's rad
Why are you vegan? I find it hard to trust anything a vegan says
How does it compare to Base44, if you know?
That is ad hominem bullshit.
I can run it locally?
one you install the code editor, it requires an internet connection to use their hosted models. you might be able to connect an Ollama to it tho
A very weird thing to say!
Like someone else said, this is purely bad intentioned and ad hominem..
Bitcoin is neutral and so should you.
Why are you gay? I don’t trust anything gays say

This isn’t your Shakespeare is it?

VSCodium + Cline is a great alternative for people that prefer self-hosting.
I don't use it because you can't edit or fork your conversations, and if the messages get corrupted because you stopped the AI response early you have to start over the chat.
What are you using to write nostr apps?
OpenCode is pretty good. Terminal-based.
