I know exactly what you mean. Been down that rabbit hole too. But there's one thing we must learn and that is not to take AI's suggestions without questioning and testing it.
For example the AI included a sophisticated caching system in my app right from the beginning. And it got more complex the more the project progressed. Then I got frustrated and decided to tear it all down and go without caches. Turned out the app was performing much better than before.
