Why is 6ft cat 8 the same price as 1.5 ft of cat 8? Why is two 6ft cat 6 only a dollar more than one 4ft cat 6? I feel like it’s the hotdogs and hotdog buns mismatch all over again

I’ve seen this also. There must be some manufacturing explanation, like the connections/ends are the most expensive component… but also just upcharging for smaller hardware
I thought computer/networking cable management was bad… and then I recently got into hobbyist home music recording/studio. Running 48+ audio cables, 12+ MIDI, handful of USB… all in a small home office 🤣 it’s an ongoing project

My guess is 1.5 is in higher demand so they mark it up. Same with the 4 foot.
