I’ve never had one either, we don’t have any hardwoods that aren’t in floodplains and I’ve never found them there

Definitely worth trying if you can get them! There is an Australian variety that I’ve been able to get a couple of times. They are great in a sauce for steak!

I picked a pound or two last year on my in-laws last year. I tried one, not a fan but I could see how they would be liked. Im only in it for the sport!!! I should ask if theyre flushing. 🤔

I’m not a big mushroom fan either but I’ve mostly only had portobello on pizza or pasta dishes. These are a whole different ballgame.

I’m sure they do. There’s one called chicken of the woods that’s supposed to be pretty tasty. For the most part I’m skeptical on harvesting wild mush but the morel are pretty obvious to ID.
