“Believe in science.”
Since 1984, the same year Fauci became heavily involved in funding, “the average age of an NIH funded principal investigator has gone up by one year per year. That looks like one group took over the money in 1984, and then they've just been giving themselves grants ever since."

Lock him up
connecting the dots
Robert Becker wrote a scathing chapter about the capture of research funding in his 1985 book 😭
I feel like I keep bringing up his work to the point of being redundant but it keeps on seeming relevant the more I learn 😡
And they be trying to cover it up like it doesn't even exist.😒
Link? Would love to dig into it
There is yet another Guy Swann impersonator on Nostr. Be careful out there!
Its just like how we can't seem to get rid of Larry Summers since the 1990s 🙄
The book is The Body Electric, it's a pretty gnarly biology book but it's phenomenal and remains one of the best most informative books I've ever read in my very well read life.
I wrote a detailed summary for my friends who cannot deal with dissection graphics, and then recorded it for those friends who prefer to listen more than they like to read. It's still very long and dry biology sorry, but my boobs look good so there's that 🤣

So there's some corruption. That's messed up and it should be investigated and the guilty parties prosecuted.
I have one objection though: "believe is science"
I take it that line was meant as sarcasm. This corruption in the NIH, if it is even real and can be verified, is not reason to denigrate all of science. Science is not just a body of knowledge, it's also a way of thinking and if not for science, we wouldn't have vaccines. We wouldn't know about evolution. We wouldn't have made it to the moon. We wouldn't have lots of things that make modern life enjoyable. I will always stand on the side of science. ⚛🔭✊

I’m not denigrating science. I’m denigrating the morons who said that absurd line which was a thinly veiled demand to “listen to the people in charge.”
There is no belief in science, only facts. Belief is for religion, not science.
Just finished this one. Great episode.
The issue is that the word “science” has been misunderstood by the masses as fact because of government propaganda. That’s why it has become a belief. If you can get ostracized from society because you know their solution doesn’t work, it’s not just a way of thinking, it’s a cult.
Really happy to see Chris Masterjon getting some Rogan exposure. He does some amazing work in the nutritional space.
🧡👊🏻🍻
The problem isn't science itself; it's that the word has been appropriated by industry such that people confuse science with dogma.
Of course, by all means - stand on the side of science. Open your mind to the skepticism that is the basis for scientific exploration and recognize that much of what we "know" today will be debunked within a generation or two.
For more immediate decisions, if you're interested in vaccines and truly stand on the side of science rather than dogma you make sure to read the inserts, you research how the studies are set up, you do a deep dive into what ingredients are allowed, etc.
another note: we're not looking at "some corruption"
We're looking at a system of incentives that precludes honest research.
