People are complicated. They can be insightful, creative risk-takers and simultaneously be mindless Kool-aid drinkers. They also can somehow ignore countless lies by government over decades and through their compliance further empower the oligarchs and their faceless minions (who despite being faceless, nonetheless bleed).
