In democracy people vote against their own interest all the time.
Because of propagande, because of information asymmetry, because of tribal alignment.
This can happen in Bitcoin too.

The same thing can happen in Bitcoin. Decentralization doesn’t automatically make humans more rational. Education and critical thinking remain essential.
Luckily Bitcoin isn’t governed by democracy
True… humans are humans, whether at the ballot box or on the network.
If we’re not careful, the same propaganda and the same noise can push us off course.
That’s why #Bitcoin isn’t just code, it’s a culture of awareness:
Verify > Trust.
Knowledge, self-sovereignty, and resistance to fake narratives.
With those in place, no vote, no signal, no pressure can push us against our own interests.
When fear and slogans replace perception, people defend cages as if they were homes.
because most people lack critical thinking skills and jump on the bandwagon of some popular figure they like..... a world of simpletons
right
yeah, I didn't mean it as that strict of an analogy
more like, the nodes acting as a way of "voting", still can be skewed by tthe same thigns
