When people say #anarchy has never existed in human history, they often define it poorly. Anarchy is not a political system, a society, or a geographical entity—it’s a #protocol by which human beings interact without unjustified force. You should look for it everywhere, and you’ll easily find it!
Just consider how music has evolved, how foods and recipes have been created, how mathematics has advanced through individual contributions, or even the history of #Bitcoin 's whitepaper. These are all examples of anarchy—voluntary, self-regulated, and decentralized coordination. Anarchy has existed in nearly everything we enjoy!

I am a protocol enjoyer above all else.
I couldn't agree with this note more.
just re-read it and this is one of the best notes of all time.
Anarchy is the earliest protocol in human history.

We should draw clearer lines between Anarcho- Capitalism and Anarcho- Communism
Language is anarchy
I might feel exactly the opposite... not sure yet.
The weird part - and this has been borne out in conversations with anarcho-communists - is that ancap allows for ancom, but the reverse isnt' true.
Anarcho-capitalism would say "Sure, you can try your communist thing over there as long as you don't take our shit over here". But anarcho-communism would say, "Hey you over there, you can't do that - the nearby existence of that ideology threatens our ideology".
I don't know what to make of that yet, from a protocol-design lens.
Language is probably the best example of all protocols that anarchy can fill, and already fills a place, in a functional society
Anarcho-communism could be organized in a fedimint or cashu federation. Anarcho-capitalism is more aligned with being fully sovereign, having your own nodes, your own wallets, self custody and so on.
And almost immediately after posting, this note is shown to me.
We need more anarchy.
