Anyone else just really dislike synthetic fiber clothing? I’m finding it’s a struggle to find natural fiber clothing. Needing tall women’s sizes doesn’t help.

I saw a video the other day describing how man made fibres from your clothes pollute your body and I can’t stop thinking about it
Me! How I hate how hard it is to find good natural fiber clothing. Fiat fashion, ugh…
You know I’m not exactly a fashion plate (in large part because of this), but maybe I can help; what are you looking for?
Basically everything. I thought about trying quince to see if I could work with the fit. I’m also willing to sew my own clothes so if you have fabric source recommendations I’d take those too.
Well just add more fuel to the fire of my discontent.
I've been saying this for the past couple years, the regenerative agriculture movement is so early, you can tell because we, as farmers, still have to search for people to process our skins (or they simply get turned into Mulch). Maybe you can be the change you want to see in the world and find a local farmer and start learning how to brain tan. I paid good money for my lamb skin jacket and consider it an heirloom. Would pay more if I could have it made in the state I live and with my own skins.
Whatever it takes to make the positive change
Oh if you can sew you’ve got it made! I’m still a beginner sewist and haven’t made any clothing for myself yet. My very accomplished friend recommends checking out the discounted seasonal fabrics at JoAnn’s; they go on steep sale.
Oh I pretty much live in cotton and denim. I just need new clothes. Hate to shop. Find all the plasticky clothes available gross. I am not a fast fashion girlie.
All merino and cotton for me and I'm trying to move as much to merino as possible. Keeps you cool in the hot places and warm in cold places. I'd recommend checking out minus33.com (you can also find them on Amazon)
Yeah I went through a process of trying to get rid of all my plastic clothing. It hasn't been easy.
I ended up settling for natural fiber underwear and maybe 70% with the rest.
I have a vintage wide leg overall pattern I want to whip up to wear in the studio. Need to finish this scarf first. Gotta frog it because silly me decided to add 4 stitches and now it’s too wide. Should’ve stuck to the pattern. Working with some really lovely wool.
Crochet or knitting?
Where’d you get the sewing pattern?
Nice req! Thanks!
Knitting the scarf. The sewing pattern was a site I found through Pinterest. I’ll see if I can find it for you.
Devold
Thanks for the req!
I'm slowly converting to all natural fibers. once you notice how it feels there's no going back
once you start noticing how natural fibers feel on your body versus polyester...
there's no going back

As a tall man I shop at Americantall.com and they also have a woman’s line.
They have a lot of synthetic fiber items but a few basic products (mainly shirts) that are 100% cotton that I just switched over to.
If you find another vendor let me know!!
I’ve bought some things from American Tall. The cuts haven’t changed in the 5 years since I bought from them. So the women’s clothes seem a little outdated to me.
Yea the men’s stuff I buy is all basic. Need an all-natural tall clothing company… that has some style... 🤔
Not a problem! They are one of my favorites. Depending where you are they might not ship but this site ships pretty much anywhere

Been looking at this, haven't hit the trigger yet.

Ooo let me know what you think if you do order from them!
Yup, just had this issue today, finding it best to shop online for many of these items. Marino wool and wool have such great properties and cotton is so comfortable and wears well.
high quality clothing tends to be more expensive but
- it's usually made of high quality natural fabrics
- lasts longer
- ages better
because I don't shop frequently, it's overall reasonably affordable
