Over the weekend, I got the keys to the #Bitcoin Café. In exactly a month, we will be opening the doors. (8/21)
Obviously, I am in over my head. We still have to plan the menu, get the Bitcoin mugs, paint the walls, get chairs and tables, hire a barista, get coffee machines, install a Bitcoin bookshelf… and the list goes on and on.
So amidst all the chaos, this reminds me of life. Life is not about the destination, but the journey. So I wanted to take the time to take it all in. To stop and smell the roses. To thank you for being such a big part of BTC Isla.
If a year ago, when the first class of BTC Isla students were graduating, you had told me we’d be opening a Bitcoin Café… I would have laughed and said you were crazy. But here we are. A year later. And it’s real. 🧡
We are going all in, about to embark on this journey. Am I scared? Heck yeah.

But this is a post for you to think bigger. To know that the slow grind does pay off. The consistency, the quiet persistence, the discipline, the showing up… THAT’S what matters.
A little bit every day goes a long way. Slow and steady wins the race.
Can’t wait to welcome you to the Bitcoin Café. ☕️ image

Soon you will be able to hire Bitcoiners to do all the jobs you need through @BitTasker as we are launching Beta version pretty soon, also interested in supporting the Coffee Shop!! https://bittasker.com/

Congrats! I'm sure it will be a success!
Isa how does the financing of a project like this look? Did u consider using one of these lending platforms so u dont have to sell your corn? I know strike is offering now. Any insight would be great. Congrats on progress
You can get bitcoin themed stuff like mugs later. Just get some cheap mugs and whatever else for now. Provide good coffee at a good price. Provide cheap milkshakes apple juice whatever for children so busy parents feel welcome. Figure out local tastes and what to pair with the coffee, usually cakes and biscuits, which you can make yourself or employ someone to make a lot cheaper than you can buy them ready made. Good luck. If your coffee is good and you offer discounts for using sats you will orange pill the coffee drinkers no daubt.
