Does the BLE Server/Client run while the app is closed?
I met some dude at a funeral who told me about this today lol
Guess the word is spreading organically
Would we want to enable Nostr relays to relay messages on a global scale? Maybe an optional feature? Sort of like LoRA and their MQTT servers?
you can already
also LoRA != LoRa :)
How?
1. Wrap them in an event
2. Send messages
3. Relay messages you get via BLE
4. Problem solved
that would need built you overly technical bastard. it doesn't exist right now.
This is 🔥. Great work.
ive seen this repo :) good stuff.
build it
wait wait wait wait. i just read the whitepaper for bitchat. nostr integration is already mentioned. my bad. im sorry j-dog.
bitchat will be huge!!
Would it work for calls or group messages?
If yes, it can be an alternative for WhatsApp over Bluetooth.
Can the Bluetooth of any device be used like a connection point to enhance the range of the signal?
Imagine to send or receive a message miles away by using any device with the Bluetooth tuned on to pass the message even while not receiving, reading or storing it, that would be like a lightening. There won’t be a need for mobile data or Wi-Fi anymore.
Better if already encrypted
This is gonna be great for Cuba
Leaf nodes are clients, if multiple nodes connect they become relays.
it does!
Reminds me of Dr. Corey Baker’s 2015 dissertation on Delayed Tolerant Networks. Although was thinking about connectivity during disaster situations. https://ufdcimages.uflib.ufl.edu/UF/E0/04/91/56/00001/BAKER_C.pdf
Please kind sir
