Do you think bitcoin should be used for monetary transactions? Use bitcoin for monetary transactions, then.

Yes, my labour. I've been getting paid almost exclusively in bitcoin for about a decade now.

The only weakness of Bitcoin is that only a tiny number of those who hold it use btc for monetary transactions. In my experience, almost all businesses, while aware of it, do not accept payments with it, and those who hold it prefer to pay in fiat.

Bitcoin is money but somehow some people think it ought to host jpegs and other random shit.

We use it for monetary transactions only. That is why we run Bitcoin Knots and support the soft fork. But you and your spam supporter friends who gravitate around shitcoinmagazine seem to really like spam on Bitcoin and the compromised Core v30. image ... together with the shitcoiners.

The compromised Core devs created Core v30 for the shitcoiners. And shitcoiners do run it. Its fucking disgusting. Core v30 abuses Bitcoin and turns Bitcoin into a spam cesspool. Real Bitcoiners run Bitcoin Knots which keeps Bitcoin as Freedom Money!

I am using BTC by hodling it. I don't want to buy things right now, I want to save purchasing power. That's a core monetary use. I definitely don't want shitcoinery and stupid meme jpgs.

Priced in fiat lol. #btcfail
Yes, but not directly. I think the Future is It backing various kinds of Bitcoin-backed currencies, like eCash. Those currencies convertable to Bitcoin.

I wanted to buy your book with LN btc, but it is not obvious how to pay with btc. Seems that we website pushes for mainstream payments. Do I have to search better?

Absolutely! I actually used Bitcoin to book a fishing yacht here in Dubai last month. We sailed out near the Palm, caught some kingfish, and paid in BTC , super smooth. If you’re into combining adventure with crypto, check out this fishing yacht cruise in Dubai: No cash, no hassle – just sea and Satoshis 😄

Yeah I agree. Part of me just want to accumulate more sats 😂 But I found myself thoroughly enjoying asking vendors if they accept BTC and then paying those that do

op_returns don’t get the witness discount. If people started spamming them the total size of the block would be smaller (up to 1mb) compared to a potential of 4mb for txs that get the witness discount (inscriptions, segwit txs, etc). The utxo set would be smaller as well since op_returns are provably unspendable so they can be removed. All of these things make it easier to run a node: slower growth of disk space requirements, quicker validation. Not saying that blocks full of these would be a good thing, just saying they wouldn’t make running a node harder, it would make it easier.
