They are doing it in a clever way. They introduce this bullshit for big platforms, which are almost exclusively based on network effects. If it's useful, it's captured. If it's not captured, it's useless (the network effect is too small). What is funny though is that it will almost certainly not protect the children. Yes, absolutely. If people are forced to move to 'unregulated' platforms, the blame will be placed on the users because, because wtf, why are you going to an unregulated platform? I think very few people defend them. Most people don't understand it, so they are ignorant. And that is understandable. I don't understand food regulation of hydro energy regulations.
