You're right, but you can opt out of some KYCs of products and services simply not buying/consuming them. On the other hand, there is a new KYC flavour that's harder to opt out of and could make you illegal

So there’s going to be a different problem with that age verification proposal of EU. You’ll need officially Google- (and Apple-) approved firmware, otherwise your phone’s processor won’t give an attestation and the age verification won’t go through. If the pandemic showed us anything. It is that becoming illegal in the eyes of an illegitimate regime is the right thing to do. As EU states. It's all about going dark. Protect your loved ones. No one needs constant surveillance in their lives. No one.

They are doing it in a clever way. They introduce this bullshit for big platforms, which are almost exclusively based on network effects. If it's useful, it's captured. If it's not captured, it's useless (the network effect is too small). What is funny though is that it will almost certainly not protect the children. They will move to some unregulated platforms and the child predators go where the kids are. How retarded does someone have to be in order not to see this basic thing. EU bureaucrat level retarded.
