You’re the one dropping the fiery episodes, so thank you for bringing these amazing guests on. For Part 2, I’d love to see you go deeper into the quantum threat to Bitcoin, particularly its relationship with time. The interview touched on the idea that the model underlying quantum computing may itself have fundamental flaws. Given the enormous investment flowing into quantum computing, and the FUD increasingly being directed at Bitcoin because of it, I think the episode set up that conversation really well but only scratched the surface.
I’d also push the discussion further into the spiritual dimension. Biblical prophecy, particularly in Daniel and Revelation, repeatedly speaks about future events through signs, sequences and “the signs of the times.” If Bitcoin gives us an increasingly objective and globally verifiable measure of time through block height, could block time have any significance in how we understand or mark such events? Not suggesting Bitcoin can somehow “predict” prophecy, but I think the intersection of Bitcoin, time, quantum theory and biblical prophecy would make for a fascinating Part 2. Don't know if that makes sense. I hope it happens soon 😁
FYI, Nick and I have talked a ton off camera about the Bible and Christ as the Logos, mechanism and ordering principle of the universe. If Bitcoin is giving us an exterior (informational) perspective of Universe via the mechanics and logic of time/energy/memory wrt to conservation, I believe it’s informing us about deeper truths of Christ we are only beginning to witness. Bitcoin is a literal Truth Machine. The memory of Bitcoin must be eternal for money to persist; fact. If the universe is the father, Bitcoin is the son in literal hierarchy of authority; which is why we are attempted to ground a deeper understanding of the universe thru Bitcoin. Way more to be said here. This work has lead me to Christ thru the necessity of logic and the hierarchy of time/authority to ground an objective explanation of universe. We now possess the fractal IMO.
To your first post; I’d say Bitcoin is informing us about the other half of time; the human experience is the lived internal experience of time. This is only half of the truth and half of the perspective (think being spoken vs doing the speaking). Bitcoin is the external experience of time while living inside of this time; both are equally valid. Think fractal/nesting hierarchy. A finite box/boundary within a finite box/boundary following the “equivalent” Logos.
WRT Bible/prophecy, im not as educated here as I need to be; Nick is much stronger in this domain. But I see Bitcoin as the reification of Genesis from the exterior rather from within; which simultaneously maps to Revelation within; the stories are superposed in temporal authority and happen simultaneously. I believe Bitcoin is our universe to create. So what is Babel? What is money?
It’s non-coincidental that the word “saving” and the theme of freedom overlaps both stories. Only by identifying the authority of memory thus money can we define the objective source truth. I think Bitcoin allows us to verify collectively that which has been unverifiable besides at the individual level of spirit.
We choose to not go here quite yet publicly because we don’t think the time is right and most people will outright reject the conversation. The logic ultimately leads here from grounding the physics IMO. It doesnt need to be forced. Just my opinion tho, I’m just a messenger for my own mind and open to being completely wrong.
