I’m not going to watch a shitcoiner’s video.
You don’t need a 51% attack to corrupt Bitcoin.

You're conflating the map with the territory.
Bitcoin's immutability isn't in the code - it's in the coordination cost. Anyone can fork Bitcoin; no one can force you to run it.
BitTorrent ≠ Bitcoin. File-sharing tolerates client diversity; money cannot. The 2013 LevelDB fork proved multiple implementations create chain splits, not strength.
Corrupt Core? Run your own node. In 2017, corporations + miners pushed SegWit2x. Nodes said no. Developers propose; users dispose.
Gold's scarcity is atomic physics; Bitcoin's is cryptographic. Both are constrained by thermodynamics. The difference: Gold can't patch quantum vulnerabilities. Bitcoin can - if the social layer agrees.
You nailed one thing: Bitcoin requires active defense. It doesn't defend itself in a vault; it defends itself through verification. Stop running a node, stop validating, and you've already chosen to trust.
That's the trade-off. Gold is passive but static. Bitcoin is active but adaptive.
Choose your physics.
And why do you think Andreas Antonopolous is a shitcoiner? Did I miss anything? I used to know him as one of the best and most prominent Bitcoin educator. I only dislike to learn that he lost to vaccines.
He did write "Mastering Ethereum"...
But yeah, he was a great Bitcoin educator. One of the best. Respect is due.
He was teaching people about Bitcoin but didn’t own a single Bitcoin, so they had to donate 50 Bitcoins to him… because he’d declared bankruptcy, I don’t know…
Yes, Andreas wrote Mastering Ethereum. And no, that doesn't make him a shitcoiner - it makes him a technical educator who acknowledges trade-offs between different blockchain designs.
I agree.
But I can see how some people might misinterpret.
Again, he deserves my respect.
He is in the top10 most respectful and important people in Bitcoin, IMHO.
In his latest presentations unfortunately he is expressing pro spam attitude saying smth like - when transaction fee is paid this is valid transaction (no matter what data it includes) and that its the fees that will take care of spam which we see is not working at all and spam is increasing ... I personally was very disappointed. Also "one person's spam is anothers treasure" .... I don't even want to comment on it, there are more videos on that topic
this one too, so disappointing
BIP 110 just limits big data, all big data the is spam and abuses Bitcoin and there is 0 decisions what is spam and what is not
but he makes very very bad point and I am sure he knows what manipulation he is doing
Oh my... It was one of the saddest and shocking videos I have watched this year so far.
Saddest because Andreas looks very sick, hurt... someone or something manipulated him.
Shocking because I would never expect him to confuse permissionless money with permissionless file hosting. It is like someone replaced Andreas with someone else from within, leaving just his physical appearance and voice...
Thank you for sharing it.
My answer to Andreas would be pretty much this:

And... it's long overdue to slay your heroes. 🔪🩸
I hope he gets well. I have probably watched most of his videos. He was Legend in Bitcoin and his older educational materials still are.
I personally was very sad and disappointed to see his new position on Bitcoin spam ...
But it is what it is, Roger Ver was good at first then turn evil, now we see Adam Back too. Probably Peter Todd has been okay at first, not sure though, now he is very evil bad actor. And the list goes on and on.
absolutely agree with your answer, I am running Bitcoin Knots and BIP 110 🤙
In that video, I think he was discussing monetary transactions, not data transactions. And definitely not about making 100kB data transactions cheap and easy to pass by raising the cap.
Basically, given enough context, I think he would be against that and pro-BIP110.
I would really like to see his reaction to BIP 110 but for now I don't have information
I would really like if he supports it ... but to be honest given the two videos above I don't have high hopes and that is because he is too smart to be manipulated or be so wrong about spam / big data on Bitcoin ... in my opinion he is very smart and he knows what he is choosing
Yeah man... I have exactly same impression.

spot on, we can route around compromised Core by not running their malware Core V30+
they and their evil VC shitcoiners and Epstein partners/backers become irrelevant especially when we have Bitcoin Knots and BIP 110
