But I'd still be a berry-picking migrant worker if I get to eat some.
I found a cache of them growing wild near one of the retention ponds in my very suburban boring neighborhood. It was like finding a fairy in my garage.
Im talking hundreds of bushes.
Ahh, gotcha! My dad found a wild blackberry bush one time. Went back later with a bowl and ended up grabbing enough to make us a pie, which was absolutely delicious. Enjoy!

Until the HOA finds out. In the meantime, this reminds me that my boy and I might need to go on a berry hunt tonight.
No HOA here. They are on our own property, out in the fields. I would never live in place with HOA.
Sometimes Nature is just freaking cool. The bushes we found were along a walking path that meandered through a meadowy area of our also very suburban neighborhood.
