GA Nostr friends. I had a tough last couple days. Hubby and I have butted heads many times over Lulu. Monday night he was in a bad mood already due to some miscommunication between us earlier about the dog earlier in the day. We ended up working it out by bed time, but it was still tense for several hours that wore on us both. I ended up bawling, because this is the kind of thing I used to talk through with my dad, so I just ended up missing him intensely in addition to being stressed out. Tuesday morning I wasn't feeling good in the stomach region, and ended up losing it all over the carpet and bathroom. Literally the worst mess I've ever had to clean up, and it was my own doing. Nothing like trying to clean your own vomit out of the carpet when you already don't feel well! Now our carpet is permanently stained. I just ordered a runner rug to cover it up until we eventually get it replaced. Feeling better today after a decent sleep. Nice to have some calories in my system too. I still have to look at the carpet and feel awful about it, though. Every day is a new day, right? Just trying to get through a tough start to the week. Hope everyone is having a decent week.

RoboSats very rarely has any offers with payment options I can use. I'm not signing up for Strike, and I for sure will not buy USDC or Monero just to swap for BTC.

GM Nostr friends. Maybe someone can interpret this for me? I have a recurring dream that I'm wandering around in a parking garage (I'd assume the one I use for when I have to go into the office), and I can't find my car. Often I'm alone, but sometimes someone else is with me, and I'm frustrated, walking up and down the rows trying to find it. I distinctly remember parking and knowing where the car was when I left, but whenever I get back, it's not where I left it. I spend each dream doing everything I can to find my dang car while getting frustrated to the point of tears. Wandering up and down and through each ramp, asking people for help, and just not being able to find it until I finally wake up.

Hubby is in the bathroom cleaning, and started singing the Katy Perry 'I kissed a Girl' tag line of the song, off-key, and then starts over. He doesn't know any more of it. Cracks me up. 🤪

GM Nostr friends. It's Thursday. Hubby and I are starting to talk about becoming semi-permanent snowbirds after retirement, hopefully somewhere in northern Arizona or somewhere similar. (We don't want the Tucson degrees of heat.) Despite living my whole life in Minnesota and being "used to it", I've always hated winter. We got another couple inches of snow last night after having almost a week of Spring-like weather. I'm so excited at the thought of being somewhere warm in the colder months. No more snow. No falling on tricky patches of ice. Just warmth and not a flake in the sky (or maybe just a dusting - I'm okay with that.) Ahh. 🌵☀️

Deleted my Whatsapp and Discord accounts a few days ago. Toooooo much creepy oversight and AI slop getting thrown in without users' consent. Now if I could get rid of FB (Hubby and his fam all use it), and find my good memes somewhere other than Instagram, I'd be all set. (Already don't use Tiktok or any of the other "kiddie" social media apps.)

GM Nostr friends. So I've been around here for over a year now, and I'm trying to think if I can summarize my general approach to this new world of social media. I think I try to spread a little cheer and gentle encouragement. I have tried to be deliberate about it, because I am generally pretty sarcastic and more unfiltered in my face-to-face interactions. Nostr is the first online space where I've felt a sense of ownership, where instead of being the product, I am part owner. As such, I want to bring a sense of welcome to any who stumble to this corner of the internet, and make people feel seen (read?). Anyway, I dunno. Everybody doing okay today? I did a workout on my stationary bike last night, and now my butt is achy this morning.

GM Nostr friends. Bit headachy and general achy this morning. Didn't sleep well. I hate nights like that. My weight loss shot has me feeling kind of pukey this morning, to the point that coffee doesn't sound good. 😢 I still need caffeine though, and thankfully had a bottle of kombucha in the fridge. GM Nostr friends! Starting off the day with some oatmeal and a cup of coffee. Sometimes the simple things taste the best. Watching our 'other' church online before we head out to our church in about half an hour. I have a sweet pup lying on my lap snoring softly. There's so special about having the love/loyalty of an animal.🥰

GM Nostr friends. It is still technically morning for another half hour! Hubby is off working at his mom's house for a few hours, so I took the opportunity to vacuum, mop, clean the kitchen, and get some loads of laundry done. Just showered and have been enjoying the pleasant ache of muscles used for a while as I scroll and just relax. Happy Saturday!

Sigh. Just got biopsy results from the little skin bits they shaved off a couple weeks ago. Two (out of four total) need deeper excisions to make sure they get everything. I hate being pale. I just want to sit and soak up the sun, but my skin says, "Not today, not any day." ☀️

GM Nostr friends. Coffee in hand, SAD lamp fired up, inner geek out to play. I've been playing with my new #Meshtastic node, and I love it. I live in a group of townhomes, so not really allowed to scale any poles to put up a transmitter, so I'm stuck in a "I can listen, but I can't send messages" black hole. I can't get my Wismesh high enough anywhere to make it worthwhile. Sigh. Hopefully I remember to bring it with the next time I'm out and about - maybe I can finally contribute to the local chatter. #MSPMesh Quiet day here otherwise. Lu has been really needy lately, so I'm trying to figure out what that means. She has started jumping up to paw on the side of my office chair, and wants me to pick her up so she can sit on my lap, and then wants to lick my hands while I'm trying to type. This is new behavior, and it worries me a bit. She will be 13 years old in April, and I don't know if she's trying to tell me she's in pain, bored, or just in need of extra affection. 🤷🏻‍♀️
