Can anyone explain, or point me to a place that explains, why some posts or other communications in Nostr are displayed twice, thrice,...? I know it would be better with a lot more specifics, maybe having some kind of (debug) log, though i seem to remember coming upon this experience in different clients.

I think you’re seeing boosts and quotes of the same note from a particular user. Pretty common with popular or “trending” posts since there is no algo to filter for you
Hopefully that’s what you were asking about.
Mainly that’s the way to share a post you like with others who may not follow that original poster..
I saw your older note as well, I assume you know Mike Winner or Alfa Vedic since you referenced qortal?
I also loved the book ‘a pattern language’
Will follow and hope you post more. Cheers and let us know if you have other questions about Nostr
Thank you for replying Stacking Functions.
Yes i know (not personally) Mike Winner. I fairly regularly listen to their (his and Dr. Barre Lando's) amazing podcast, Alfacast.
Amoung other things, one thing i like and am fascinated with, about Qortal is the PoT (Proof of Time) system--rather than the Proof of Stake or Proof of Work. To my knowledge, there are no other crypto / blockchain systems based on POT.
Came upon you yesterday while exploring Nostr or somebody i follow was reposting your stuff. I will be keeping an eye out for your posts.
BTW, is there anything you can share about how you got started setting yourself up to send/receive zaps--company, technology, system, supporting hardware, etc,...?
Sure. When i first started on here a few years ago I used damus with Wallet of Satoshi hotwallet (their beta version should be back now that the US regulators are changing their tune)
But once I got a pixel phone running graphene os and a start9 server i switched to amethyst and paid for my own lightning node via alby through my s9. There are other options with alby that you can look at, like Zeus
I dont consider myself super tech saavy so if I can figure it out you definitely can. Lots of good bitcoin channels on yt, rumble, etc with specific tutorials
Other resources that may be helpful to you..

Finally! I’ve been clunking around trying to figure out how this platform works! Thank you!
