Yes. I have heard that it is 1 molecule away from plastic, which doesn’t stop us from consuming it one tiny lil’ bit, on occasion. A pity it is so delicious. And cheese toast will NOT puff up and brown correctly without it.

The melt is why it’s perfect for burgers! I’m just as unhappy about it as anyone.
