Yeah I had one on the base of my shaft about 6 years ago & thankfully hasn't happened again. My mistake was trying to remove it myself. I botched it & left a little of it in the skin. It got a little infected & I had an itchy lump there for months afterwards. You need fine pointed tweezers to get the tick close to the skin. Grip the tick tight & use a steady but increasing force until the tick lets go. Don't try to rip it out - wait for it to release it's grip.

Really? I've never tried that. The YouTube experts say it might cause them to release more juices/saliva into you. I'm always a little sceptical of their fear mongering & risk aversion though. I like that when you pull the tick, you also have it secured in the tweezers. Burning the bastard quickly after removing provides a little retribution comfort.
