this writer makes no clear points except "protecting people needing to quickly withdraw from custody" and then uses a false imperative to hurry up to implement covenants considering that taproot isn't even fully deployed on the network anyway, still probably the majority of exchanges don't even have support for pure taproot payments, to talk about a need to hurry up anything is just patently retarded and i turned off as soon as i was hit with the solution to solving this problem of people rushing for the self custody gates never mind all the rest of what is retarded about this, when the gates are closing, there is no rushing just a lot of people being 6102ed only thing we can do about this is OURSELVES self custodying and TEACHING other people to self custody nothing in the protocol makes this "easier"

Michael Saylor is dead right about the lack of need to make changes to the protocol the amount of traffic on chain being shifted to layer 2s is keeping way ahead of the increase in userbase for the orange coin, and will continue to do so because those who are engaged in building out the solutions are making money along the way to achieve this, and Michael himself is funding some small part of this work, as are Odell and others... i had a tense exchange with Odell almost a year ago when he was saying "nostr only" and here he is talking about his ongoing X activity, the guy is well meaning and doing good work but this is patently retarded and makes him look bad
