What did ya plant?

Yeah I just planted 14 trees solo, and wife and kids helped with 4 more, over about a 5 day period. Whew! A lot more work than anticipated... Last year we planted 700 saplings with a tree planter, but a lot smaller than this year! Oaks, hickories, redbeds, button bushes, dogwood, pines, etc. This year was apples, crabapples and American persimmons, but all were 3-5' tall bare roots. Not as big as that pretty tree. 🙂

Mix in compost and aged manure? We added those this year, plus top dressed with some Johnson Su compost and a ring of mulch about 3-4' radius

I sweat today.

Whoa. I want to plant more but need to be strategic. I'll give it two years of keeping these alive. And then go for more.
